Tamra Gail Little Light

Tamra Gail Little Light Roman Nose, also known as “Tweety”, 50, of Billings, Montana, went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on June 16, 1976, in Crow Agency, Montana, to the late Rachel Laforge and the late Myron Little Light, Sr.

Tamra grew up in the Wyola-Lodge Grass area and later moved to Lockwood in Billings. She graduated from 8th grade in Lockwood. Later, she attended school in Pullman, Washington, where she received her GED. She met Delon Rock Above around 1991, and together they had five boys. They made their home in Pryor for 19 years, and later separated. She met J.D., and together they had Journey. They got married in February of 2023 after being together for 10 years and made their home in Billings.

Tweety went on the firefighting training and worked various jobs, including working alongside her friend Miranda-Fransisco at the Residential support service and in the mail room for IHS in Billings. She easily made friends wherever she went.

“Don’t forget about the Spot!” When Tamra hollered “the Spot!” Everyone was sure to be there to kick it with her. That’s where she performed Michael Jackson’s dance moves and would do the moonwalk on top of the Rims.

Tamra always liked to keep busy. She liked to laugh around and would say her famous words. One quote her mother always said, and she kept it going. “I may not be the best, but I’m good.” A couple more were “Be safe” and “Love you, all my heart and soul.” She liked to go cruising just to listen to music. She loved to clean and make her home comfy, cozy, and very welcoming. She enjoyed yard sales, bargain stores, and beading. She collected stickers and has all kinds. One thing she really loved doing was singing. You would often find her somewhere karaokeing with family and friends. What brought Tamra such joy was when she got to hang out with her boys and granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; maternal grandparents, Mary Bear All Time and Gilbert Laforge, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Theresa Walks Over Ice, and Ted Little Light; cousin, T’Shon Little Light; aunts, Marveleen Laforge Bird Chief, Valentina Sanchez, Latonna Long Soldier, and Lori Ramirez; uncles, Tyler, Quentin, Bailey, and Ronald Laforge, Sr.; sisters, Roberta Nomee, Natalia Little Light, Rosanna and Lucianna Dust; brothers, Dominic Laforge, Austin and Teddy Little Light; stepson, Alize Roman Nose; and a pet dog named Luma Rock Above.

Tamra is survived by her husband, J.D. Roman Nose; her boys, Artiero, Tyus Ashley, Jr., Justice, and Tamari Rock Above, and Journey Roman Nose; her precious granddaughter, Aria Rock Above; her stepkids, Kyler and Jessica Roman Nose; grandparents, Angela Red Wolf, Mary Louise Laforge, Annebelle Hunts The Arrow, Delma Jean Yarlott, Dana and Larry Tobacco; stepmom Kaylene Tushka; her aunts, Betty Laforge, Sandra Grant, Rena Frank, Beldean (Alex) Plainfeather, Jennifer and Rebecca Jefferson, Joyce Laforge, Pauline and Vanessa Little Light, Kathryn Pretty On Top, Roberta Henman, Ava Bell Rock, Gema, Francis, and Sharolyn Stewart, Bobby and Lorreen Walks Over Ice, Tina and Mary Ruth Black Eagle, Carlene and Gloria Goes Ahead; her uncles, Gilbert “Tiny” Laforge, Jr., T.R.
