Valentina Faith (LaForge) Sanchez

Valentina Faith LaForge Sanchez, 66, passed away August 31, 2025 in Boerne, Texas from leukemia.  She was born November 15, 1958 to Gilbert LaForge Sr. and Mary BearAllTime in Crow Agency, Montana.  

Valentina was affectionately known as “Faithy.” She grew up in the Wyola area and received her early education there, later moving to Lodge Grass.  Faithy married Reyes “Ramon” Patino Sanchez in 1985.  The couple had four daughters and one son.  They made Comfort, Texas their home.

Faithy worked various jobs and was a hard worker.  Her family was her priority.  She loved cooking for them and going on long walks with her girls. Faithy loved to dance and enjoyed watching Western shows. She liked to go thrift store shopping and was thrilled when she found apples or angels to put up in her house.  Her favorite holiday was Valentines Day.  She would get excited whenever she would be showered with gifts.  Faithy was a strong woman and was known for telling it like it was: a beautiful soul inside and out.  She will forever be loved and missed.  

Faithy is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Tyler LaForge Sr., Bailey LaForge Sr., Ronald LaForge Sr. and Quentin LaForge; her sisters, Rachel LaForge-Castro and Marveleen LaForge-Bird Chief; nieces Roberta Nomee, Lucianna Dust and Rosanna Contreraz and nephew Dominic LaForge. 

She is survived by her husband Ramon; daughters, Majel Yellowtail-Portugal, Christine (Anthony) Esquivel, Ursula Sanchez and Valentina Sanchez; son Alejandro (Natalia) Sanchez; brother, Gilbert LaForge; sisters, Betty LaForge, Rena Frank, Sandra Grant, Joyce LaForge, Anita Stewart, Beldean LaForge Plainfeather, Rebecca Jefferson and Jennifer Jefferson; aunts, Angela Red Wolf and Mary Louise LaForge; grandchildren, Hugo, Kayla (Renato) and Brian Delacruz, Angel, Anieli and Alethea Caldera, Mario, Camilia, Emilio and Mateo Portugal and Valentin Mares and all of her husband’s sisters and brothers. Faithy also has 31 nieces and nephews.  Her special friends are Rhonda Horn, Laura Lee Nomee and Ursula Rides Horse.  

Extended family includes Plainfeather, Real Bird, Red Wolf, Little Owl, Carpenter, Hunter Arrow, Jefferson, Crooked Arm, White Clay, Whiteman, LaForge, Bouyer and Moccasin.  Our family is large; please forgive us if we have forgotten anyone in our time of grief.
