Virginia J (Itrich) Wetzel

Graveside service for Virginia Wetzel, 90 of Wibaux, MT will be 11:00 am CT on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Glen Ullin Cemetery, Glen Ullin, ND.

Virginia passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in Billings, Montana. Virginia was born on July 16, 1934, in New Salem, ND.  She was the daughter of Ottmar and Julia (Mandle) Itrich.  As a young girl, she attended New Salem School.  On September 3, 1954, Virginia married Gustav Wetzel.  They had 4 children.  Virginia and Gust moved around a bit until they finally settled in Wibaux, MT.   Virginia drove school bus for many years in Wibaux.   She was also judge in Wibaux County for a time.  She enjoyed gradening and adored her dogs.

         She is survived by son, Larry (Susan) of Surprise, Arizona; daughter, Nancy  (Perry) Stockwell of Beach, ND;  Julie Allard of Farmington , NM; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

         She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustav; daughter Sherry Studabecker and grandson Travis Thompson
