William J. Connolly passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2025. He was 82 years old.
He was born in Glendive to James and Mary (McCloud) Connolly on February 25, 1943. On June 30, 1962, he married Janice Schwindt. They had three children, Sheila, Shane, and Monica. They had many grandchildren and great grandchildren all of which they were so proud of and adored.
He worked for many years in the oilfields of Montana and Wyoming. In 1988 they moved to Hardin. He worked for Prince Trucking and then for Kenney Construction.
“Bill” as he was known was a local gunsmith after he retired and made many friends enjoying that time.
He was preceded in death by his wife Janice of 54 years, his siblings, and one grandson. He leaves many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. His love for history, hunting, and his abundant knowledge will be missed.
No services are planned. A private family service will be held later per dad’s wishes.
Cremation has taken place. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
