Steve Kirkegard

Steve Kirkegard

Owner/Funeral Director

Steve and Valerie Kirkegard recently had the honor of becoming team members and owners at the Bullis Mortuary in Hardin.  Valerie grew up in Malta and Steve in Circle so they both understand the importance of community values and service to those needing assistance in their greatest time of need.  The Bullis Mortuary legacy is to be respected and nurtured for generations to come and the family is very honored to have received so many kind gestures since taking over the business with the support of Punki and Terry Bullis and Kristi Bullis Greenfield.

Steve and Val have worked in the funeral industry in Billings and with the Fort Peck Tribe in Roosevelt County, Fort Belknap Tribe, Northern Cheyenne Tribe, and now are honored to serve the Crow Nation and communities of Hardin and Billings as well.

Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Great Falls and a science degree from the prestigious Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in Pittsburgh, PA.

Steve and Valerie love visiting the Pacific Ocean, spending time with family and friends, their pup Buddy, and serving others in this profession which isn’t a job but a calling.

Marcia has four children, four grandchildren and one great-grandson to keep her busy when not working at the funeral home.  She also enjoys hiking, gardening, reading, sewing, Bible studies, and learning other languages. Marcia hopes to be a blessing to the Hardin community until she retires.
