Xandra Pitsch

Xandra Pitsch was born into a loving family on May 12, 1944, and went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2021, after suffering from Alzheimers for two years.

She grew up in Garryowen, MT, attended Crow Elementary School, and graduated from Hardin High School. She graduated from Trinity College, and then worked there as the assistant registrar. She left there to help her sister, Gay, manage a Lodge in Big Sky. From there, she came back to Billings to work at Deaconess Hospital in the payroll department until her retirement in 2010.

Xandra enjoyed playing the organ and the piano at First Baptist Church of Hardin, and other churches she attended. At family gatherings, Gay and Xandra played piano and melodica, while the others sang favorite hymns around the piano.

She loved to garden, collect beautifully painted plates, play or listen to music, read, go to baseball games with friends and family, concerts, travel, play table games, and taking part in the lives of her nieces and nephews, and their children. Her faith guided her life. Her smile and laugh will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Xandra was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Pitsch, Jr and Wilma Senff Pitsch, brothers Garry Owen Pitsch and Douglas Allen Pitsch, sisters Donna Joyce Slezak, and Gay Loree Ziler. Services will be at Bullis Mortuary in Hardin, Montana on Saturday, July 31st at 10 am, followed by a luncheon at E & R Church at 703 N Cheyenne, Hardin, Montana. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to: Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or Big Horn County Historical Museum.
