Henry P. Walter

October 7, 1941 – August 22, 2021

Henry P. Walter

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at the day: And, not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing” 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Our beloved husband, Father, brother, Grandpa, Uncle and friend to many, Reverend Henry P. Walter went to be with his Savior with his family by his side. Henry was the kind of man that would friend the friendless. He was the rock of his family and a pillar in the Hutterian Church. A man of utmost patience, that many near and far looked up to.  Although he was a devoted leader, he always had time to play and love on his grandkids.

Henry was gifted with many talents. A musician, machinist, welder, an all-around repair artist.  Henry also loved going chokecherry picking with his wife, Mary. There wasn’t a chokecherry tree safe from either of them. His machine shop was his second home, but, his true calling was being a minister of the gospel, never being afraid to share the Word. He spent many hours researching it, writing about it, and being a witness.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Paul (Rachel) Walter, his brothers and sisters, Darius (Anna) Walter, Paul (Maria) Walter, Mary (Paul) Stahl, Susanna (Fred) Tschetter, Anna (Elias) Walter, Katie Walter, and Elias (Susanna) Walter.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Walter, his sister, Rachel (Paul) Stahl, sons and daughters, Sam (Lydia) Walter, Carol (Philip) Hofer, Ruth Marie Walter, Ronald (Dorothy) Walter, and grandkids, Reba (Aaron), Joyce, Carolyn, Jodi, Monique, Tamara, Audrey, Grace, Noah, Claire, Isabel, Wyatt, Ingrid, and numerous nieces and nephews.
