Pauline F. McDonald

Pauline (Polly) Faith Wilson McDonald, of Crow Agency, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 16, 2024.  Baalóshuakaatash/Blue Beads was born on December 15, 1944 and was the twin daughter to the late John E. Wilson Sr and Luella Mae Charges Strong. She grew up and was raised in the Crow Agency and Benteen areas. Pauline attended school in Crow Agency, Flandreau, South Dakota, and graduated from Hardin High School in 1963, she later attended the Missoula Technical College in Missoula, Montana in 1972.

Pauline was a direct descendant of Charges Strong, Crazy Sister In Law, Goes Ahead, and Pretty Shield as well as Charles “Smokey” Wilson. Pauline was a member of the Big Lodge and Greasy Mouth Child. She had 34 years of federal service with the Indian Health Service, working as a medical records clerk in St Ignatius, Crow Agency, and Lodge Grass clinics.          .

Pauline was known for her work ethic which she did her best to instill in her children as well as her nieces and nephews whom she helped raise and loved as her own.

Pauline married Dennis “Sonny” McDonald and were together for over 40 years, raising their four sons; Darren, Jeff, Truman, and Johnny.

Pauline is survived by her sons; Darren (Shelly), Jeff (Rebecca), Truman, and Johnny; her grandchildren Amber, Daralynn, April Fray Wilson, Yvonna, Autumn, Darren Charges Strong, Trulyn, Monica, Shyanna, Angelena, Hope McDonald, Beadilyn, Truman, Erza Heavenly Rose, Adrianna and Alina McDonald; as well as her great-grandchildren Mathias, Glenda, Ty Cloud, Joseph Smells Jr, Gracelei Wilson-Deputee, Erin Wilson-Oldelk, DC, Gina, Charles Wilson-Bastien, Kaydrean, Kelsie, Khariss Iron, Rory Charges Strong, Hayden Murray, Evlee, Holden Charges Strong, Aidan Jun, Azaelia Rose Hugs, Stephan, Kassidy, Alavando Fisher, Haven Paul, Spring Other Medicine, Kailoni, Baby Boy, and Liam Howe. A sister Beverly Wilson-Big Man and her Brother Lawrence “Bo Bo” Wilson.

Pauline is preceded in death by her Parents Johnny & Luella; sisters Arlene Wilson and her twin sister Roseline Fry. Her brothers John “Beeps”, Robert and Ivan  and Grandchild Jeff McDonald and Great granddaughter Deana Cloud.

Her extended families include the Jefferson, Goes Ahead Pretty, Yellowmule, Hogan, Stewart, Knows Gun, Charges Strong, and Fry families
