Randy Morrison Obituary

Randy Scott Morrison, Ihshbaashiiaxpe' Ahoo' (The One with Many Ropes) was born January 15, 1985, a son of Alvin Morrison Ill and Glenda Loye Pretty Paint Morrison. Randy was given away in the Crow belief way to Delmyrna Yarlott at a young age. Randy is a member of the Greasy Mouth clan and a child of the Piegan Clan. He grew up in Crow Agency and attended Crow Head Start, Crow Agency Public Schools, Pretty Eagle Catholic School, and Hardin High School.

He worked as a Buffalo Ranger during the Carl Venne administration, for Wayne Edgar at the Feedlot, for a Crane Company who installed windmills throughout the Midwest, and served as a Public Safety Officer during the Old Coyote Administration. He worked in Mandaree, ND for Maheshu Energy as a mechanic, ranch hand and shop supervisor. He then worked for the Four Bears Segment in the Gravel Operation where he oversaw the whole operation. He was recently employed as a Public Safety Officer and Lead Structural Fire Fighter for the Crow Tribe under the White Clay Administration, He was often called to lead Search and Rescue teams for the Crow Tribal Search and Rescue team.

Randy was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors; he especially enjoyed the times he spent in the Big Horn Mountains with his family and friends bringing back prized bulls. One of his Trophy Bulls was featured in a traveling Hunting Show of prized Bull Elks. He initiated and created the Crow Mile Shooters organization, a shooting club focusing on shooting targets that were a mile away and competing for prizes and bragging rights. While working for the Buffalo Pasture he learned to dress and prepare the meat within minutes. He was an awesome mechanic and a jack of all trades; he loved to build sweat lodge ceremonies with his bro's and brothers in law, he enjoyed riding horses, especially with his brothers, nephews, nieces, brothers in law and grandson. He trained race horses and was involved in Indian Relay as a set up man. He served as a Indian Relay Judge for the past few years at The Crow Native Days and Crow Fair Horse Racing events respectively, helping his son in law Ashton and niece Charine Old Elk.

He married his forever love, Amberly Bright Wings, on October 22, 2022 in Hardin, MT. They made their home in Lodge Grass, MT, most recently residing in Ranchester, WY. Together they were blessed with a daughter Harley Jo Morrison. Randy took pride in parading her, taking her hunting, fishing, and camping. They did everything together. Our beloved referred to her as his "Little Champion." She is a daddy's girl and her mama's world.

Randy was a recent member of the El Bethel Church and attended many Sweat Lodge Ceremonies, where he was often called upon to pour because of what he referred to as "Pouring Hot Ones".
