OBITUARY

 

Terrance Lyndon Ten Bear, Jr. affectionately known as “Big Country”, 22, of Crow Agency went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 28, 2022. He was born on November 3, 1999 to Terrance and Jaychelle Ten Bear, Sr. in Crow Agency, Montana. Country was member of the Big Lodge Clan and a Child of the Piegan.

His Crow Indian name was “Prayer Warrior” given to him by his grandfather Tyrone Ten Bear. Country attended schools in Fort Defiance, AZ, Poplar, Mt. and Lodge Grass High School he excelled in football, cross country and the thing he loved the most AAU wrestling receiving several medals. His other favorite activities he enjoyed doing was go hunting in the mountains, fishing, camping, riding horses and he loved being with his siblings and his friends, hanging out visiting, cruising around with them. He befriended many and made lifetime friends, his humor, kindness and caring will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his dad Terrance Ten Bear, Sr. and sister Terryn Ten Bear; grandparents Tyrone and Linda Ten Bear, Jacob and Noreen Big Hair, Sr.; uncle Jacob Big Hair, Jr. and nephew Tyzail Ten Bear.

Survivors include mother Jaychelle; his sons who were his pride and joys Klayton Sykes and Grayson; sisters Lillian (Jordan) Pickett, Whisper, Larsena Jo, Lansing, Tyana, Tressa, Hannah, Anna Ten Bear. Odessa Cottier, Acacia Old Bull, Tyonnie Manzanares, Tawny (Mike) Don’t Mix, Dalaney (Bryndon) Rogers, Jovaughna McAdams, Nina Smells, Cammie (Frank) Knows Gun, Jacklyn (Isaiah) Singer, Sara Juneau, Kris (Daniel) Iron Road, Bethanne Medicine Horse, Isabella (Travis) Brien, Jr., Nakia (Kennard) Black Eagle, his sister from Poplar, Mt. Viewing: Sunday 10/30 1-4 and Monday 10/31 10-4

 

Funeral service: Tuesday November 1st at 10:00 AM at the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Hardin.
